We just watched 15 Fresh Handmade Gift Ideas. (repeats Dec 3rd 2pm EST)  We are thrilled with the results and how the wool felt rosette pillow was showcased.  It was on the sofa in the background for most of the show and then had a little bit of info on the kit during the Handmade Kit section of the show.

Our favorite pillow kit - the ruffled rosette pillow was selected by HGTV as a handmade holiday gift in it's marketplace. If time is tight for the holidays, we will also make the pillows up for you!

It’s that time of year again when the trees are aglow with color.  I found the Falling Leaf sashiko sampler and knew I had to give it a try.  Easy to sew with enough creativity to be inspiring, I finished it in no time. To start, gather fall colored thread.  I chose sashiko threads red #12, orange #4, yellow #16 and green #7. Then, think about how you want it to look when you are finished and plan your colors accordingly.  Unlike other sashiko that follow a particular pattern, this one is free form. I chose to mix the colors...

All our local friends, we need your help.  We are headed to Maker Faire at The Henry Ford July 31 and August 1. 1. We need t-shirts to turn into shopping bags...so clean out those closets and drawers.   Any size, any condition.  this is a great way to get rid of the kid's team shirts that seam to multiply. 2.  Volunteers to help greet and instruct attendees through the process (we will be in the air conditioned Automotive Hall of Fame next to Xyron and Craft Magazine).
